Why Pay When You Can Do It For Free?

“Just one more thing Donny. Why would anyone pay for something they can do for free?” A potential customer asked me this question as we were wrapping up a call to discuss his upcoming corporate webinar. I gave him the following analogy: Someone watched the 1996 NBA Finals on a small, black and white camcorder. His friend was there live, sitting 2nd row behind Jordan’s spot on the bench. Yes, the first person got to “watch for free”, but look how much of a better experience the second person got. You get what you pay for.

A built-in webcam and microphone for a conference call is a perfectly fine system, that’s what it was made for. But when you want to broadcast something valuable, like a corporate webinar or a concert, or even a wedding, you need to do it right. Zoom isn’t meant for motion or concerts needing high-quality sound.

A couple of advantages to a professional webinar or concert seem rather obvious. Having more cameras, and at higher quality, gives the viewer a different experience, while having a professional sound system enhances their listening experience.  You don’t need to worry about the internet in a foreign place, and also can broadcast from a large room with more than one person without an issue.

We recently did a webinar at Sheba Hospital here in Israel. The sound quality was flawless, the different camera views added to the viewer experience, and it ran smoothly. We had six different speakers, and each one had his own little microphone. It’s on a different scale than Zoom and the built-in webcam/microphone set up.

With Video Eden, make sure your upcoming webinars and concerts are as high quality as can be.
